Chartered Engineer’s Certificate (CEC) for INDIA

Charted Engineer’s (CE) Certification/Inspection is a required for the exportation of used (second-hand) goods/equipment /machineries to India. The operation test and packing inspection are carried out to check the operational condition, residual life, the evaluation of transaction price, inspection of detailed parts of the equipment, quantity and packing status of used goods.

CE inspection is to be performed by an inspection agency authorized by the Government of India. In addition, this certificate issued after inspection is one of the obligatory documents to be submitted at the time of customs clearance, and customs clearance cannot be completed without CE certificate.

CERINS is a registered member of the IEI (The Institution of Engineers India) which is a government authority in India. So, CERINS is issuing its own certificate. In addition, CERINS conducts inspections tailored to the needs of customers in all parts of the world based on its branches and agent networks, including headquarter in Korea.

CEC REQUEST FOR INSPECTION

The exporter must fill in the Request for Inspection (RFI) with the date and time of the Inspection and apply to CERINS with the following documents.

  • Copies of L/C or Proforma Invoice
  • Packing List
  • Sales Contract
  • Item Catalog or Item Description document
  • Initial Purchase price document/Evidence
  • Repair & Refurbishment Evidence Document (if add)
  • Depreciation Valuation Document

CEC PHYSICAL INSPECTION

  • Operation Test
  • Quality Review of Goods (Machinery)
  • Check Quantity and Spare Part (Accessories)
  • Packing Inspection
  • Container Loading Supervision

CEC ISSUE CERTIFICATE

Upon the completion of physical inspection and the shipment of the goods, please submit the final copies of the below listed shipment documents. CERINS issues inspection certificate after final documentation review.

  • Commercial Invoice
  • Packing List
  • Bill of Lading
  • Export License
